Dr Whalen has been in practice as a Doctor of Chiropractic since 1988, and is Board Certified as a Chiropractic Neurologist and is a Fellow of the International Academy of Chiropractic Neurology. He has served as a QME since 1997, and lectures frequently on related topics. He is a past President of the California Chiropractic Association and has served as chair of their workers’ compensation committee for more than 20 years. He also is Emeritus Chair of the Clinical Compass, which develops “best practice” guidelines for the chiropractic profession, and was lead or co-author on a number of those guidelines, including neck pain, back pain and chronic pain. He is currently President of CSIMS and practices in Santee.
