Dr. Kumar is a highly respected pain management specialist based in San Diego, California. He began his academic journey at UCLA, earning a bachelor's degree in physiology in 1998. After a brief period teaching mathematics in Culver City, he returned to UCLA for graduate studies in public health, focusing on biostatistics.

In 2000, Dr. Kumar was awarded a prestigious Dean's Scholarship to the UCSD School of Medicine, where he developed a strong interest in pain management while conducting clinical research at the UCSD Pain Clinic under Dr. Mark Wallace. He earned his medical degree in 2004.
