While in college, I worked full time as a physical therapy assistant, working mostly with patients who suffered spine injuries and athletes rehabilitating. After college, I was an adjuster and supervisor for a nationwide insurance company for over a decade, handling larger, high-exposure cases, including complex coverage and open policy cases.

From the moment I decided to go to law school I knew I was going to be a Plaintiff attorney. However, I still worked as an adjuster full time while attending the Loyola Law School Evening Program. I feel very fortunate for this program as it allowed me four years of learning the law while also understanding how that applied to insurance companies and how they evaluated and handled claims. This allowed me to strategize on how I could use that information to benefit Plaintiffs when I made the eventual transition.

After I passed the bar I served as a defense counsel for the same company where I worked in claims. I only lasted a short time as a defense attorney before making the transition to the Plaintiff side, where I have been loving life since.
