Lauren Wood, Esq

Lauren Wood has over thirteen years of experience in litigation and trial advocacy, specializing in plaintiffs’ personal injury and wrongful death cases. As the founder of L Wood Law Corp, she has successfully handled a wide range of legal matters, including trials, arbitrations, and alternative dispute resolution.

Throughout her career, Lauren has served as a solo trial attorney or lead chair in numerous trials, conducted hundreds of depositions across diverse parties—defendant drivers, witnesses, police officers, corporate representatives, governmental entities, and medical experts—and secured hundreds of six and seven-figure verdicts and settlements.

Before founding her own firm, Lauren worked as a trial attorney at Omega Law Group in Beverly Hills, where she managed a large caseload of high-value cases and mentored associates in litigation strategies. She also partnered at the Law Offices of Schurmer and Wood in Ventura County, where she tried cases to verdict, mediated disputes, and conducted extensive depositions.

Lauren is licensed to practice law in California state courts and in the United States District Court, Central District of California. Beyond her practice, she actively contributes to the legal community. She currently serves as Treasurer and board member of the Western Trial Lawyers Association (WTLA) and is slated to assume the presidency in 2025. She is also an emeritus member of Los Angeles Trial Lawyers Charities (LATLC) and previously served on the California Young Lawyers Association (CYLA) Board of Directors. Her leadership roles also include Secretary of the Ventura County Barristers and board membership at the Ventura County Bar Association.

Lauren’s dedication has earned her repeated recognition. She was named a Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2016 through 2022, and was nominated by the Santa Barbara Young Professionals for the 2015 Young Professional of the Year Award. She has also received multiple awards from LATLC, including presidential awards for outstanding achievement.
