Monica Burneikis is an award-winning trial attorney and the founder of Burneikis Law, P.C., a plaintiff-side personal injury firm based in Oakland, serving clients throughout California. She is widely recognized for her excellence in trial advocacy and dedication to justice for the injured.

Monica has been consistently named among the Top 100 National Civil Plaintiff Trial Lawyers by The National Trial Lawyers and has been recognized as one of America’s Top 100 Personal Injury Attorneys each year since 2020. She has also been selected to the Northern California Super Lawyers list for the past five consecutive years.

In both 2024 and 2025, Monica was honored as one of the Top 50 Women Lawyers in Northern California, and in 2025, she was named to the Top 100 Lawyers in Northern California by Super Lawyers, a distinction awarded to both male and female attorneys.

In 2018, Monica was the only female finalist for the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association’s Trial Lawyer of the Year Award—and notably, the only finalist to have tried her nominated case as sole trial counsel.

A respected leader in the legal community, Monica is a Past President of the Santa Clara County Trial Lawyers Association, where she also served for many years on the Board of Governors. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Alameda-Contra Costa Trial Lawyers Association.

Outside the courtroom, Monica is married and the proud mother of three daughters. In her spare time, she enjoys running and working out, which she strives to incorporate into her daily routine.
